P&L are a bunch of dodgy cunts
My friend went down there who knew absoloutely nothing about Mini's. I went with him & know a fair bit. My friend got talking to the guy whilst I wandered around looking
He explained that he had roughly £1300-£1500 to spend on a Mini. The big guy who runs it (Paul) said that he would "let that one slip" for £1400 & pointed to a Clubman that was a total wreck. Every panel needed replacing & it was only a basic trim inside that was also in very very poor condition.
Now I had been buying Mini mags for months & months & know what type of mini you could get for that kind of money. I even saw one that was advertised in the latest mini mags for £2000. When I asked how much that one was he told me £4300
The whole "mini scene" is meant to be quite a friendly one & full of enthusiasts willing to help out new owners etc but it angers me that P&L have such a good reputation when the only thing they seem willing to do is con people who know little about these cars.
Rant over.
PS, looks nice Paul
