How do you find out what processes are running on computers? My computer has been fine but last 2 days or so it keeps playing up. It starts up fine and all is well but when i connect to internet pages wont load at all, msn wont open, in short nothing works. When i eventually get them to work they take ages and keep having to use refresh to get new pages up. Just wanna see if there is anything there that shouldnt be as virus scan is showing up nothing and no spyware either. Im a little confused as i have a fast connection normally with 2.2MBPS on BT

I'd rely on NOrton if it's fully upto date. Try Spybot Search & Destroy.

try an online virus scanner matey. norton wont pick up viruses that other scanners do.

Had norton on my pc for 2 years. never once slowed my pc down and kept my computer virus free. never had one problem.
suppose it all depends on the type of sites you "visit" as well like.

I use Norton on my main XP boot and there has never been a noticeable loss in performance. It does the job and prevents me comp from contracting t'internet transferred diseases. Spyware on the other hand, nothing comes close to Microsoft Anti-spyware application - disables and removes junk even while those apps are still running which many spyware removers can't do.
A good format would help which isn't ideal but results in good performance... could always stick a k&n on the intake fans which will make a 286 perform like a P4

Actually, MS Anti-Spyware misses quite a bit, that's why I run Spybot along side it.

Well i got spybot, ran it and immunized etc and it found some shite, some of it though it was unable to remove without a reboot but it still couldnt remove it. Im still having problems but not as bad as they were just having to refresh now and again to get the pages to load up properly. MSN messenger still logs itself out now and again too so the problem is still there, just not quite as bad.
