i had a GM card since getting my first corsa about five years back.
i didn't want it anymore, so paid off what i owed in august 2002 to be able to close the acccount.
i mis-calculated the interest i owed and ended up paying 13p over what i should have done. i called to see if they could write it off and close the account, but she said i needed to send written consent for them to be able to give the money to a charity.
i can't be bothered to do that, so just let them send a statement every month. every month they waste 19p postage plus the paper/ink and admin to tell me i have 13p to my name.
so far thats £6.46 they wasted in postage alone. god knows how long it will take them to work it out. should sent a 6monthly statement or something instead.
i know it's peanuts to a huge credit company like that, but it's slowly wittling down whatever i'd paid them in interest over the time i did use the card.
illogical, no?

Sounds like a good idea.........maybe everyone should try it, take out all these credit offers we always get, get +13p in the account and take out shares in royal mail!!!!

I had one of these, had real trouble with them they must employ members of CorsaSport to work in there offices because they were brain dead.

I have a Northern Bank account with £1.14 in it, instead of closing it i moved everything out.. they annoyed me so much im leaving it there and chuckling

I have done the same with HSBC, I had an account with them when they were called Midland, thats a long time ago Cut a long story short, they would only give me a cash card and not a Solo card which I needed for more convinience. Ever moth they send me a statement saying I have about £0.70 in the account, its risen by a few p in the last few years, better still they have sent me new cards and cheque books All of whic I have destroyed upon recieving

i found another account with Citi with 15p in it. never even heard of Citi cards.
who turned into CitiFinance?
