No they are not its a very good music video from Samuel Bayer who directed all their videos from the 'American Idiot' album who also famously directed the Nirvana - 'Smells like Teen Spirit' video.

The 'Wake me up when September Ends' video stars Jamie Bell from 'Billy Elliot' and Evan Rachel Wood from 'Thirteen' but the song is about the death of the lead singers dad's passing.

Great music video.

I think that is one of the best made music vids i have seen. The bit where the music cut and the girl was shouting confused me a bit though.
