Iris is not the same, thats an accounts production program... used by accounts practices (unless they now do a sage style system?)

If you have no experience of Sage and arent willing to go on a course or for your accountant to show you I would get VT Transactions which is one of the most simplest bookkeeping programs I have ever used. We recommend it to all our clients who dont need an advanced system such as sage which incorporates stock etc. It has a comprehensive sales and purchase ledger and it can also send out statements to your debtors to show them how much they owe you. VAT returns can all be done at a click of a button as well if your going to be vat registered?
Have a look....http://www.vtsoftware.co.uk/transaction/
You only want the £125 client edition as the other one is for accountants etc.
