to pass an MOT, do u have to have the silencer?

i dont, and i passed, my car is fuckin loud too
its down to the testers discretion, if they think it's too loud, they may fail, but most wont, unless you get a comlplete cunt doing it

makes it raspy, top end is better, torque is better, but mid range you lose a bit

I have no middle solencer either and feck me it's loud....

as rob said sounds raspy on full throttle...I am getting a middle silencer fitted.

sounds superb when idling and when you come off the throttle and it burbles away....

I like the burbling when coming down and changing gear just the raspy note that pisses me off when pputting foot down...

Im planning on getting a new sebring centre pipe next weekend without a silencer, cos i want more noise!
But if i do this will i still be able to hear my music ok, or will i have an annoying exhaust tone all the time.

i am removing my centre box 2morrow and welding a pipe in its place i am also going to stick a spark plug in my backbox and a coil in my boot

It's down to your car's exhaust being no louder that 110db at idle standing 1 foot away with a microphone at exhaust level sitting at 45 degrees from the tail pipe.....
