Can i put a personalised Prefix style plate on a Current style plated car e.g. M22 XXX onto XX51 XXX. I have searched on the DVLA site and cannot find an answer.

I thought the only rule was that the personalised plate must not make the car appear newer than it is.

So long as the plate is older than or the same age as the car, you can have any plate on any car.

you can put any plate on any vehicle as long as it doesn`t make the vehicle seem newer than its actual plate

if ya get me

you cant have "P155 OFF" on a car registered "D111 DOE"
cos P reg is newer than a D reg

i have m reg private pl8`s on an m reg car was pretty lucky coz i was gonna buy a N reg sport but got the m reg sri instead

N comes after M so u could hav had your plate whichever one you went for, could u not?
