no, why would i do that. you seem to think youre the few people on here that know ANYTHING about photography. its a common rule not to mount something directly in the middle

but then again, i suppose i did 3 years of Graphic Design for nothing eh

this is one of the two that have been done 'correctly'. even though, the gap is a bit too big. but you probably did this by mistake, as you know everything.

there is nothing wrong with mounting somthing in the middle. it depends on the size of the object compared to the frame. you cannot say you don't put anything in the middle. None of my pictures have anything dead in the middle anyway

so you did graphic design, I studied molecular biology for 4 years does that make me any less qualified to take pictures

all the pictures have been done correctly. There is no real right or wrong way to take a picture. if it looks good it looks good and if it's bad it's bad. yes I can pick flaws with my photos and you may think they are done correctly but at the end of the day Martin thinks they are good so I have done my job.

p.s I don;t know everything which is why you see my shots improving the more I do

also is the bokeh too much for you?

i was not commenting on the pictures, i was commenting on the mounting.

so what if you did molecular biology? i will say it again, i was not talking about the pictures.

yes, the pictures are good, but the mounting is 'incorrect' every lecturer and course i have been on, weve been told to mount pieces off centre, it makes them more interesting, and draws your eye to the whole picture, not just the centre of it. trust me, there is a difference.

but carry on as u wish, but if Ian had said this to you, u would take it on board.

do whatever u want
