Why can't all car manufacturers makes their cars with bonnet struts as standard?

Even my mate's 106 diesel has them!

Got lights ages ago, was foxys one and only good idea besides birth control

got exhaust recently and the cars booked in for a full respray to get all the trim sorted out and a full respray aswell as geting the boot de-locked and rear bumper sorted as it had a gaping wound due ti the ricer twin exithgy
