with a rev counter for my corsa, the clocks came off a 1.0 12v which seems quite strange as i didnt know the 1.0 had them, getting my 1.0 12v replaced with 1.4 16v in 2 weeks and wondering if rev counter will work.

Cheers

if they don't work i'll be interested in them, got a feeling they won't because the 12v is only 3 cylinders.

1 ltr clocks will only work with a 1ltr 3 cylinder engines, the speedo will work with other engines, but the rev counter won't be accurate! For the 16v engine, you need the clocks out of a 16v car for correct rev counter read out!

I have a set of clocks (electronic speedo) with rev counter from a 1998 1.2 16v (so the rev counter will work with other 4 cyl engines)...

They're yours -- u2u me

If you have 1 of them random aftermarket rev counters they usually have a switch to change it from 4 to 6 cylinders, would of thought a 3cyl corsa would need a diff rev counter than a 4cyl, as the readout would be incorrect because the clocks would think its a 4cyl and would be counting every 4, so would probz read less,

I have no idia what i'm on about by the way.

that is correct! 8v clocks will work on a 16v

the 12v clocks wont work on either 8v or 16v though,
