I was out on thursday with my mates - they were doing double vodka and redbulls for 2 quid each! Ok so it came in a small glass with very little redbull - but the double vodka was still there so fair play...

After it turned like 12:30am / 1am ... Suddenly the prices changed with no warnings anywhere in the place / in writing...

My mate went up to the bar with a fiver and the correct amount for the drink I wanted - and was getting 2 double vodka's and redbull and a vodka and coke (I was out of money and couldn't afford any more doubles hah)...

Anyway... Expecting the lot (2* 2 quid + 2.50) - to come to about 6.50 - you imagine my mates expression when she said that'll be 16.30!!!!

She said Double Vodka Redbulls were now 6.90!!! each! ok in a slightly bigger glass, but still the same double shot of vodka?!??! 6 pound 90 ? wtf!

How can places do that? the drinks were already poured so my mate couldn't say no - he had to put it on his Credit Card as he had no cash left. What a joke!

Ice Bar in Reading - It's a shit hole anyway, should've gone to Risa.

I would have walked away, if they gave you no warning that the prices were different...

so what if she pour'd the drinks out!? I would have got annoyed and just left. They should at least have a notice saying when drinks are cheap and when they are not.

In Pacha in Ibiza its 10 Euros for a bottle (normal size) of San Miguel...the same bottle is only 0.70 Euros in the supermarket...

A small (littler than normal bottles) bottle of water is 8 Euros...

Not forgetting the ticket to get in is 50 Euros...

Still a good night out....

Its not uncommon for the prices to change after a certain time , they say that between 9 -12 the drinks are half price to get people in, then once people are there they put the prices back up at midnight. I know its not right but its a business so they have to make money.

But they shouldnt have just been giving you dashes of Redbull if you pay for Vodka + Redbull you should get the whole can

They get you drunk so you pay more at the end of the night - its just marketing - places will do it for as long as people will keep paying the prices.

Fair play...

I know of bar prices / enterance prices changing depending on the time (to try to get more people in earlier when it's empty) - but the amount it usually varies is like an extra pound on enterance or a extra pound on the drink prices and it's usually like after 10pm...

Not You've been drinking these drinks all night for 2 quid - now after 12:30 we're going to hike up the price another 4 pound 90!!!

If they had raised the price from 2 quid to 3.50 I could understand that. but the 6.90! was just crazy.
