In Edinburgh we have a cruise liasion officer on our site, www.edinburghcruise.co.uk who answers our legal questions etc etc
Anyway tonight they invited us to police HQ  and told us about speed cameras, the equipment they use and answered all our questions regarding various aspects of car modifying 
It was a really good night and they gave me a keyring and a toy van that says, " watch your speed"  Next time they are going to have a look at our cars and say whats legal and what isnt without fear of prosecution 
Does anyone else do this with there local traffic cops?

I think thats a greta idea, stops the hate relationship!
I was invited into station after i got pulled 4 times in a week, all just routine stop checks as a new car in town!
Not speeding all lights etc perfect so i wrote a letter complaining.
Now they just wave at me, even had a blatt late a night with the t5 from the local station!

There were quite a few of us so no blasts in the Volvo, the officer said he had 160mph out of it though
They were really sound and a good laugh too, one of the lads wrote off his dads car when he passed his test

Got to know most of them on 1st name terms, always good when out and need a lift home!
yeh i was on bypass and the t5 overtook me, i knew who was driving so had a little play to 100+, was 2am and not a car in sight!

No I was totally smashed from a night out and kicked fuck out of him for following me home after id allegedly been in his garden and pulled a moonie at his wife

Sounds like a great Idea . Good to see some police forces trying to come to an agreement regarding cruises, rather than poorly trying to make feeble attempts to stop them.

Mkcruise.co.uk have been doing it for a few years now, we just go to the pub with the big police man and discuss it etc, how we think the policing could be improved..........they listen to us and we listen to them, its ace

Never had meetings with our local plod, but they always stop wen im outside the house see what im up to. most of them show a general interest and are pretty friendly they pretty much leave me alone, only ever been stopped once locally showing red light to the front from my neons,

It started at 7.15pm mate but some fowk turned up late anyway, you should of come along
The next one will be better, there having a closer inspection of our cars and telling us whats illegal on them (emmision checks too )
