Looking at building a track car in the summer. Either a J/K reg poverty spec rustless Nova with an SEH, or the same, early Corsa. 1.2 Merit with a million miles on the clock but decent bodywork.

Have looked around and some go for peanuts, but generally, for the age, they tend to hold their money well.

Anyone got anything to add to this?

Nope, can't fit an SEH in a Clio! LOL

Sticking with things I know. I can scrabble a cheap track car together for not a lot of money.

Around the window seals is another suspect for the Corsa.

Chassis legs and suspension turrets I believe are the problem with the Corsa I'm getting, bloke that I'm getting off said he can't be arsed with it so I offered him a tonne for it and its mine

Little did he know the interior on its own is worth £50 quid.

I just recently picked up a r reg corsa sting 105,000 miles 7 months mot runs ok. Just the boots bin keyed the rear brake cylinder has gone and a crack in exhaust manifold only cost 100 quid. Have stripped it now and had a good look and no rust etc so you can get them really cheap

Nice find Luke. I couldn't give a stuff if it was in roadworthy condition. Most of it would be ripped out and binned anyway.
