Anyone know how to convert "real media files" into another format so I can put them onto a DVD?

I have tried searching about etc but I could only find a converter that puts a huge watermark in the centre of the screen

Anyone know of any free ones available?

dvd santa converts to video TS files allowing you to burn to a dvd
