ok i have a laptop here with windows xp home edition and i want to put xp pro on it or start a clean install or either

i had this trouble before where i could not delete windows so i took the hard drive out and put it as a slave in the other pc and was able to format it from there

how do i go about putting a laptop hard rive in a normal pc? is there an adapter out there?

cheers

OK if you dont care about the data on the hard disk (in your laptop) then just leave it in there.

Reboot teh computer with the XP cd in and go through the install process and FORMAT THE PARTITION when you get the option to.

To anwser your original question Marv, you can take the hard drive out of your laptop and use it with the standard IDE cables I believe.
