My 20gb I-Pod went faulty & I took it back today & they gave me a nice brand new 30GB I-Pod Photo

But I decided to remove all the old I-Tunes software & install the new stuff.

I put the CD in & filled in all the registration details etc but then it said please connect your I-Pod as it may need to formatted. I connected it & it got about 1/2 way through formatting it & it seemed to freeze

Thought maybe the program had crashed so I closed down that window & Then it came up saying "enter serial number, this is on the back of your I-Pod", but my I-Pod was still connected & it says on the screen "do not disconnect" So I left it connected & typed in the serial number (its also on the box). Entered my name & email address where it asks for it & clicked next. Then a little error message came up saying something along the lines of "could not install this time"

So I started again.....

This time it seems to have stopped but it hasn't even got 1/8 of the way through formatting it


anyone else have any problems with theirs? I need help!!!!!

I love mine, was a bit tempremental when I first installed it but I've never had a bit of bother since.

mine was funny when i first installed too, but its all good now. so much better with firewire
