i used to have an sri 16v and got 115 out of that piece of piss. i now got a 96 sport, same engine & gearbox etc but it just wont go over 105 and takes ages to get there once your past 90. i know i had the linkage in the gearbox adjusted coz it was horrible going into 5th but i pretty sure this hasnt changed it. any ideas on how to sort the bugger out to perform as it should??????

It's a Corsa, not a fucking racing car. On the road, any speed over 70 is irrelevant.

Think that's what me means. Maybe go swap you clocks to the old ones, then you'll go faster
lowering the car slows it down too, which sucks

Fair attempt, but it's worth pointing out, unless you have GPS in the car then you can't accurately get your speed.
and your 120 is more likely to be 108 ish.
esp as th ebook top end is 112 if memory serves m right.

Well I was doing 120 (speedo is 3% out though) on the m25 at ease. Normaly wouldnt go that fast but had to pass a maniac corsa c driver!!! She must of had a 1.8 as she was having it large and tried to take out a merc before cutting me up (I was doing 85) and then braking in front of me on purpose!
