Can I paint this with hammerite?

Jr, how did you paint your rocker cover your C16? Did you take it off and spray it.

I need to get to work on my engine bay.

yes you can paint it, it's dead easy to whip of the engine, wire brush it, then off you paint.

yeah it's best to remove the rocker cover to clean it and prep it before you add paint to it.

Yeah I've had the inlet manifold off before so I'll hammerite that first up, then do the rocker cover next.

What I might do is spray the plastic cover white again, then have the inlet manifold black will look good

Could reverse it and go with the brushed ali and black theme of most car interirors these days. Back plastic engine cover, then wire brush the feck out of the cover and spray in light ali colour.
If you use a evil enough brass bruss on a powerful drill then you can make the brushed effect rather than cast randomness, would be different too

just cause something costs more doesn't make it better,
Polishing is free as you can DIY, does that make it worse than hammerite?

Hammerite is wicked, I done by drums and calipers in it and its still looking good, I'm gonna do my inner arches with it as well, along with my inlet manifold.

I'm also gonna paint my willy silver and pretend to be a spaceman
