I've warped my V6 disks.. I'm using them to stop a V6 Vectra though.

If i still have the Vectra by the end of the year, it'll have 4-pots.

a matter of opinion.
I don't know if the gsi discs are vented or not..?

The discs may differ by 4mm, but i'm sure the ate calipers will have the gsi calipers for breakfast.. of course this is just my opinion.

but if you are comfortable with the gsi caliper's then stick with them. It's just that you can pick up a set of ate calipers and 256x24 discs for peanuts that you might as well...

i'm not sure if this post makes sense. (hhad a few..)

the 2.0 brakes are fine.
they stop me pretty quick.

its not just the 4mm that is different, its the callipers. the ate calipers are far superior to the corsa gsi ones

yea,
i wouldn't advise using the 1.6 calipers with a xe engine. Might as well just get a pair of ate calipers and 256x24 discs.

my car had standard GSi spec brakes, 20x256mm vented disks with poor performing gsi calipers, in the sense that under heavy braking at high speeds, 70/80+, car WILL swerve and will NOT stop quick!

i have 2litre spec now, and fook me they are excellent, 24x256 vented disks with bigger more powerfull calipers

i still want V6 brakes though just my current alloy size would not allow them to fit, i think there 284x20mm vented, and although they are only 20mm thick they come with some big calipers
