The whole point of having different colour needles to the dials is that you're supposed to be able to read the information on them at a glance in all conditions.
If you think you can do that with your dials then you're only kidding yourself.

As for the clear needles, I made them up. I've never seen them for sale.

You'll never get a good colour with a pen.

Go to a model shop and buy some cellulose paint. Red on white is better.

how do white dials show up in the dark when the lights are on?? as normal just the numbers? or does the whole dila illuminate?
