£1000 Max fine isnt it...although if its just run out they will give you a period of time to sort it out iirc

A sore ass after dropping your soap

but i believe its a hefty fine, somthing like 250 quid and/or points and/or anal sessions in jail <- not 100% sure on all that, but its not a slap on the wrist

well i decleared car off the road... now i hav an mot and insurence but the cover note hasnt come thru yet and i need to drive thr car ! obviously i cannot get the tax unless i provide the post office with the cover note

then unfortunatly mate you cant drive the car.

a mates missus, had just bought a new car, and was on her way to the post office from the garage to tax it, and got stopped and fined £250 i think

Nope the post office now only accpetes the real cover note.

i asked when taxing my car last year, even a fax copy wasn't acceptible & only the ORIGINAL policy / covernote was

if ur caught driving with no tax they will take the car off u and impound it make u tax it and pay the back tax plus the towing and storage

I don't understand the problem. you wait till the cover note comes in then get tax. if you don't have tax don't drive. why are the people on car forums mostly made up of fuckwits and chumps

Nope as already said they only accpet the REAL cover note so any photocopy/fax etc would not be accepted
