V801 JAT
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi there,
How's my old pride and joy doing - hope you're looking after her.
Traded my last 03 WRX PPP last Sept for a new Audi A4 Avant and a new daughter!!! After 7 Scoobies I must admit to really missing them - V801 JAT more than most. Pulleyns always said it was one of the quickest they had come across - especially after the PPP.
Shortly after I got V801 they took the cylinder head off looking for a rattle that turned out in the end to be a valve for the servo!! I was away for 2 weeks so Kev rolled up his sleeves and set about doing a 'proper' job on it while I was in the States. He ground all the valve seats and seated every valve perfectly.
When I came back the car was unbeivable. We could keep pace with my mates PPP'd RB5, which after I had the PPP fitted became a no contest. If you've ever wondered why you have a slight edge over any challengers, that is the reason.
Best Scooby I ever had that one - hang onto it as, trust me, it's one in a million. Now getting the bug again and starting to look for an identical one - but no doubt slower I'm afraid. I'll have to leave it with Kev again!!
Happy motoring!!!
Otis.
