Been running SP2 since Beta as I was Beta tester. Not had any problems that rendered my PC or Laptop useless. Best way I would tell any 1 is to intergrate their service pack 2 to their XP CD and use that as their install medium. Saves space & time.

fine for me

only issue I had was with the local loopback devices issue, but there is a hotfix on the microsoft website for it...

just fixes, or tries to, the problem where it says Couldnt find DNS Server when you access websites or post in forums...

seems ok now for me since doing that!

SP" has ran fine on all three of our PCS and my mothers laptop never had a problem with it!

Although i did have the Log in problem with CS before and it had nothing to do with SP2 my dad says it was due to some virus that stoppe dus loggin into everything cos it was fine for a while then it just stopped letting us log in

It is a forced update from today btw. I knew I had read it somewhere. If you use windows update of course. You could manually download all patches probably.

How can you find out which SP a machine is running?
I think I have SP2 and haven't had any problems, but I'd like to check anyway.
