hey people,

ive got a new job and need a new car, the job is in milton keynes and i'd be travelling from luton, so thats about 45Miles round trip, so i need a good MPG rate, but if im doing 70mph in a 1.0 - isnt it gonna take more fuel to do that speed than in a 1.2 doing 70mph coz it would be at a higher RPM init? what would you say...? better to have a 1.0 or 1.2 for this?

1.0 engines are terrible as they are 3 cylinder. So get a 1.2 if you can't afford a diesel.

Ifg your talking about as brand new car then yeah, as people have said, best off with a 1.3 CDTi if you can afford it. If you want a petrol , then your better off with a 1.0, as they've all got the same gearbox, so your Lower rev thing doesnt work .

If you're so concerned about fuel, get a diesel, not like you're 1.0 or 1.2 is gonna be anything near quick is it.
