The quote button enables you to include a previous message inside your own so that it is clear what you are responding to.

Please trim quotes as much as possible. Large amounts of quoting makes the threads a lot larger and also skews search results as text is duplicated outside of its original post.

Don't quote a full set of images. This just makes the images appear multiple times in the thread which most of the time is pointless and just means readers have to scroll past them.

The quote button enables you to respond to SPECIFIC SECTIONS of a post. It does not replace the reply button.
