Can a Police car get you on a speed camera when they are parked on the other side of the motorway?

If i've been done do they have to clearly mark that there is a speed trap? Was doing 80 and another car shot past me but then i seen the brake lights come on at which point i slowed down to around 65 by which time i had spotted the Police car and they would have spotted me.

Read some where that they give you 10% increase on the speed limit as not all speedos are 100% accurate
most police traffic vehicles are calibrated every service
all you can do is wait for 6 months and if you dont receive anything then your clear cos thats as long as they can leave any offence without any communication

They must issue a notice of intended (NIP) prosecution within 14 days of the offence. As you were pulled over and spoken to by an officer, i suspect he would've given you a 'verbal NIP' which constitutes as the same thing.

Did you sign anything whilst you were with the officer?
