What he's saying is, you now have a 60A fuse on the wiring. If the fuse on your amp is bigger than 60A, then yes you'll probably blow it soon.

Go and look at the fuse(s) in your amp

The fuse on the amp is 40 , it blew because i touched the metal on the amp where the battery is screwed in by accident whilst un-doing it, forgot to disconnect battery, so it should be fine yes ?

if the amp has a 40amp fuse it obviously uses less than 40amp , therefore a 60amp fuse will be fine

Yes you will be fine with a 60 on your PC and 40 in your amp
But a 60 in an amp and 60 on the power cable wood not be good enough as you have to take in to account power loss in the cables but 20 amps above is ok
A 4-gage cable is fine with a fuse up to 130amps BTW

go to a local ICE dealer (not halfords) and get a Breaker Fuse.. upto say 120amps

wire that in place of your normal fuse.. mucho better
