Another thing...

When ethnic minoritys get on the bus, they sit near me they start there conversation in English then start talking in there native language then finnish in English.

Why? They obviously slagging something off about the English or the fact they are taking us all for a ride.

this pisses me off so much. whne our house was up for sale a few years ago, asian families would come to view it and whilst we wer showing them around they'd talk in their language even tho they were perfectly able to speak english.

obviously they are talking about us

I find the same thing happens when I got and meet ethnic minority defendants (im a bailiff). Mostly 'corner' shops. Usually they will start talking to their collegues in english then switch to the native language for a bit then back to english. Sometimes I wish I new their language.

Cant help but feel as though they are saying " shall we pay these barstewards? They dont look hard, go around the back and hide the money and stock. You pretend to be someone else and i'll play along, we dont know who they are refering to, they were never here..."

I think it's god damn rude, fair enough english are known for being lazy around europe etc for not being fluent (as everyone knows english :lol, but when in our country speak our language. There's loads of people over in our work from india who walk around (and the blokes all go the toilet together ) talking indian and are basically learning 100's of processes to take back to india and move the jobs there

True true. And the chances are they will make an effort to learn what it is in English as a lot of our language is colloquial (sp) these days.
However, it is the foreign immigrants who come over here and make no effort to leanr the language that I have a problem with. If I was on holiday in Spain I wouldn't learn the language but I would use occasional phrases. If I moved there though I would learn to speak Spanish as it's only right.

Essay over
