Tall speakers no, get small speakers if u wanna wall mout altho the sony systems (some) have infra red rear speakers so u dnt need to hide cables, very clever

if you mean propper floor standing speakers, then no - hence the name But if you mean the sony stuff that has a 2m heigh speaker stand with a little square box (apparently its the speaker ) then i believe alot of them have mounting holes where you can take them off the stands and wack them on walls.
However, i would just buy some mission bookshelf speakers and use the "hide away" bracket they come with - will sound alot better than anything sony could come up with

i have loads of systems already with small speakers, im wanting something different. iv jst ordered a 42" projection tv and also gettin some wooden floorstanding speakers to go next to the tv. but behind it on the wall im wanting a pair of tallby speakers and a centre speaker to use when watching films.
so are u sure there will be no way of connecting them to the wall. do the stands come off?
itl be a system similar to this

i can make a brakcet to screw to the wall but i need to know if the stands come off

wtf mate? your getting some floor standing speakers, yet you want to use some shitty all-in-one package for cinema stuff
if you spending some cash, which it sounds like you are, then seriously stop being a gimp and just do it propperly - get a decent DVD player and AV amp, then get some mission/mordaunt bookshelfs for the rears and a centre speaker, problem solved you have 5.1. Wack a sub in there you have 6.1, wack another centre in the rear you have 7.1 (aslong as your amp supports this all etc)

look at the cambridge audio gear mate - i know people say its richer sounds own special brand and shite, but for the cash your getting pretty good stuff.
Ive got an Azur DVD player (cost around 300 quid) and its bloody brilliant - the picture is nice and sharp, clear. The colours are good and offers component out which is useful if your telly supports it Ontop of that, it plays nearly everything - ive yet had it to spit on a CD, whether it be a dvd, dvd-r/w etc, vcd, svcd, mp3 cd etc etc - well worth the cash.
The Azure av amp is supposibly nae bad either and offers 6.1 etc

mate, place the centre ontop of the tv - it will project the sound better as the bed is acting as sound deadening
however, aye gear is nae bad Not sure on the panasonic amp though, but the rest sounds not bad

yea, but get an av amp and dvd player + rear/centre speakers, as you not only have a hifi but also 6.1 dolby digital cinema setup! seems the easiest idea than having loads of speakers etc plus you can make use of dvd-audio (aslong as the dvd player supports it)

The amps not bad does the job, films sound really good, but the best bit has 2 b the sub, that really kicks. Normally only gets used for playing music from the pc anyway.

i dnt need another dvd player, i have 3 already i suppose i could buy a decent amp to let me use a 5.1 setup but im quite happy with the amps i have at the mo. as i said, i am after soom good quality floorstanding speakers which i will mainly use for music and that will go into my marantz amp. so thta should sound pretty decent. but when watching dvds i am wanting a new system, to be honest with u im after something that looks good aswell (i know seems stupid) so i was thinking a pair of tallbys and a centre speaker will look great behind my new tv on a white wall with the florstanders infront
i dnt know

look at the azure cambridge audio stuff, you can get it in a nice silver and it matches. As for the speakers, just match them up
fair enough you will end up spending about a 600 quid (or round abouts) but it will sound better than any all-in-one
