Just had my car back from the bodyshop. cleaned part of the engine bay cos it was dirty. started it up and it sounds really rough and misfiring really bad. let iit run for a while just incase of moisture or water, it has got better but still aint right.

When you push down the throttle then do it quickly again it misfires. had alook at the ignition leads one of them dont look to good and i think these are the original leads. could it just be the leads which could be causing this?
What else normally causes misfiring?
It just seems strange bcos it was fine when i took it home then when i started it later it was misfiring really bad. the car hasnt been driven for a month.
Any suggestions on what could be causing this would be good.

thanks

Sounds like damp ignition, take the leads, plugs and dizzy off and ensure they are all clean and dry. I put my leads in the airing cupboard overnight and plugs in the oven at 200deg C for an hour to ensure they were dry.
