thinking about getting a motorbike, fed up of 120miles per 20quid, fed up of traffic on roads, fed up of 0-60 in 5mins.
what would you recomend a good 1st bike, bearing in mind i know jack shit about motorbikes, i can ride one, but i ride a motorbike like a woman drives a car.
also are the tests easy to pass like the moped test?

If u are under 21 u do a restricted bike test so u r restricted to 33bhp for 2 years, test is pretty easy as u do it on a 125cc bike but the u turn can be a bit tricky to master!
if u are over u do it on a 500cc bike but then u can ride wot ever u want, i have the ideal first bike for sale, its not got to much power u cant handel but it is still fun and fast!!!

cbr 400s are very god bikes, if i had the £ id be looking at one of these or a nc30 VFR 400, or a honda hawk if you can find one

similar too my first bike 
depends what sort your going for if you want a tourer as fazer or hornet (best bet of your starting out), a cheaper 500 maybe a er5 or supersport a fireblade or gsxr600 (which you'll most probably cause yourself some serious harm!!)

currently selling my Honda CRM250 for a 400 road bike, after going on the back of my mates fzr400 theres no comparison, of the lights i think the 250 would cut it but after 40 - 50 no chance

if i had a dirt bike that was road legal, i'd never be on the road, just tearin up the feilds and dirt tracks behind us lol.
the CBR looks orite, one of my mates crashed his bike the othere day and apparently its a fair bit of a mess, pluys he wasnt insurerd or have a liscnese so might get it cheep off him.
