I have been given negative feedback on an item,
the item i stated was a dump valve which i knew came off a crashed sierra cosworth and so condition was used. Someone won it for £12 + £5 postage and has now filed a dispute against me because unknown to me it does not work however through email i have said to return the item and i will give full repayment. He has now informed me that he has binned it and is wanting his money back saying that because it was no use their was no reason to return it. I also stated in my advert that the item has to be returned for a full refund to be made.

Agreed. Tell him to return it, you'll give a refund then mutually withdraw the feedback.
If not just keep the money as he obviously won't return it or withdraw the feedback so you will only lose

Do as above, but dont worry about 1 bit of negative feedback its harsh but as long as you have a few postives most people wont be put off, everyone knows how easy it is to come across some knob who would leave negative feedback for fun.

What is his feedback like?
Just reply to his feedback saying how you are offering a full refund and return of item, but he's disposed it!

i have replied to his feedback. He seems to think i am going to refund him without getting the item back. What is silly is that the item he won for £15 in total. It's as though it's his life savings here or something. He's making me an unhappy bunny at the moment.

Common sense says that you can't have a refund without return, whatever the condition of the item.

Tell him to do one.

What a cock. You wouldnt order a TV online, and then if it didnt work bin it and ask the company for a refund .

Dump valves are hardly rocket science either. If it doesnt work its proberbly only blocked up or the spring's fucked.

Tell him to go fudge himself .
