My dad just gave me his old phone put my SIM in and it asks me for the subsidy password..

Can anyone be really helpfull and find out how to get the password for me?

you need to either phone the previous network and get them to send you a code - but will cost you an arm and a leg. Or send it off to get it unlocked.

You need a data cable to unlock moto phones now, they closed there website to allow for unlock codes. But it will cost your around 15 quid usually mate - just google for unlocking moto xxx etc
