Ok...
I've made a logo for a company which will be used on letter heads and in Mags etc
I dont have my own company or anything, there fore dont know how the tax bit works on the payment. I'm charging £30 per hour and i've done 6 hours work.
The company know my situation (about me not actually having a company name etc) and still want me to do it, but they want me to send them a dummy invoice there fore starting a paper trail which will lead to me if ever the tax man wants to see.
Where do i stand and what should i do

send a dummy invoice, with no info or true connections to yourself.
that way u cant be traced, after all, it is a "dummy" invoice
they will need one, as they will have to use it for their outgoings for their buisness for tax purposes.
wouldnt worry about it, unless it was large amounts of income.
the only time the inland revenue will chase up invoices, is if the company you are doing it for is inspected. they wont bother trying to hard to trace an invoice for £180.
and even if they do trace it to you, they wont inspect you as well, just confirm the invoice was paid
