whose done this? i am thinking of applying to the scottish police (as i got rejected form the english, and think with scotland being a third world country it might be easier) but it would meen moving away. Its a lot to think about, just wondered if anyone had moved away form home - not down the road form your parents, Colin

Up to you but dont expect it to be easier - infact it will be worse because you wiull be in a strange place!!. Also dont think it will be any easier to get in.....I done first few parts of Police application and the selection process is one of the most intense ive ever seen - then I saw sense and decided to drop out - didnt fancy the lifestyle !!

Nah, i was taking the piss about it being easier and all that. its just something else to look at whilst i have six months to wait before i can reapply here. I think it would mean moving up there before i applied to get settled in etc, but if im not successful, then it would probably be a waste of time. Just not too sure at the moment

There was alot of Ex Forces and HM Prison guards when I went along....I suspect most of them got the Jobs, they were alot stronger physically and mentally than me anyway so probably better suited!!!!!!
I passed the fitness and was onto the presentation part and thought fuck it im not into this at all!!
To be honest moving up here in hope of landing a placement is a bit silly - even if your offered a job it can be up to 2 year before your started and then your away to to police collage for 6months anyway!!
