If i want it i can av it 4 200 notes tax an test run out in may and 1 engine mount needs replacing i need to see whether its a broken mount or if the engine or body work has given

what u reckon now

Well 200 notes isnt alot to lose but you could end up spending a small fortune on an old car......although im planning to shell out £12k on a K reg Escort so im not really in a place to talk If you like it and it seems to run ok/not too much rust then get it

they all rust around the petrol cap, its a ford thing, make sure its not smokey, allthough id imaging it will put out a bit of blue smoke as everyone ive seen does

it be right if it costs me more then i will learn from it should be fun when i get the mot papers i will av a look and a test drive at 3pm today hopefully the engine mount will be the only problem and no bodywork damage any idea how much engine mounts should be

yeh i gave the filler cap a good prod an it didnt go through so if i treat it asap i should be fine i wanna get it cos its a cheap run around and there is nothing that looks tidy for sale at this price but i also dont want bending over

£300 quid cant go wrong

No FRST is a 1.6
LAte spec XR2i's came with a 1.8 16v
