Seems silly, as they are just making the ending price potentially a higher one, also some bids are from friends of the seller, in order to bump the price up for their friend.
What's funny is, people seem to think I'm stupid for keeping away from ebay.

one mans shite is another mans treasure, that is what ebay is all about,i have bid on stuff with 9 days to go before now if working away or going on holiday, also if you put in your maximum bid early and this falls short of the estimated value in your mind and other bidders bid early you can scare them off bidding later in the auction,i think in my own personal opinion bidding early makes no sense at all but it is a twat when you forget all about something and it goes for f*** all because you didn't bid in time,i have over 750 feedback on ebay,

I play the lottery as I think why not a few quid a week wont make a difference and u never know - 1 winner last night scooped £9.4M - just think what you would do with that

Ive also sold some things on Ebay that I wouldn’t necessarily have sold otherwise or for nearly as much money - the charges are a bit ridicules tho IMO!! Also got some bargains aswell

Agree with the rest 100%!

Also cold callers and shite in magazines telling you you've won stuff - My granny (89yrs old) believes them and really thinks she's won stuff or needs a new kitchen and spends ages on the phone to them!!! - Scum of the earth these people - id like to meet them all some day and beat them to death with there own shoes !

I always wait until last couple of seconds and put in my top amount - if I dont win then someone obviously wanted it more than me....fair play to them

i pay insurance monthly, easier than trying to get your money back if you end up cutting the year short for any reason

I also sell stuff and unwanted shit on ebay, keeps the funds ticking over.
