Any Finance people on here?

I've been left ~£50,000 by my grandma in her will but I'm not allowed to use it untill I am 25, what is the best way to invest it that's going to get the best interest returns?

ISA's?
Stocks?
Savings accounts?

I got left some money ages ago and put it into BP Shares (worked for them at the time got a great deal 2 for 1 at special rate!) Halifax bank shares and a pep with Newcastle building society and rest into premium bonds (these are good because you can win some big money and withdraw them whenever you want). All investment plans have matured now and been re-invested.

Going to use it as a deposit on my first house which im looking to buy soon!

If you want a safe option then just put in a 5% interest ING savings account. Another option would be someting like an Index tracker I suppose but that is more risky.

Stocks can be risky but cna also pay off. When ever get a lot of money (for me £200 when i was 15) I put it into somemore preium bonds as like Col says you can win money on them and you don't lose any money. Don't know if you get taxed on them though as I'm under 18 so I didn't
