just write down that you resigning, your notice period is X number of days or weeks and you intend to leave on x date.

Thats all it has to say.

Most work places ask you give 4weeks notice.

1. you will have to look at your contract and 2. If you need to give that notice but you cant then you can speak to an employment law office (i'll give you number) and they can advise you what to do !!

Hope this helps...

Doesn't have to be a written contract - could have been verbal or whatever but just saying you need to make sure your current e'er isnt going to turn round and tell you that 1. they'll dock wages for not giving enought notice or 2. you cant leave cause "You've not gave enough notice etc blah blah... " Good Luck with new job though - what you doing ??

All done. Thats one reason for not taking a job with a family friend. you might start to dislike your dads mates!

All over in the next couple of months though Just got to tell my manager that im leaving tomorrow, and he isnt speaking to me already, such an immature bitch
