it sounds dreadful . . . really deep and muffled sound.
not clear at all. just bass is really loud.
tried ajusting settings and that, but no luck.
any help please?

sell them, spend the cash on comps up front and amp them instead

double check connections, earth etc.. used to get this on a few of my mates systems and wen setting my decks up at the place and a few partys,will put my thinking cap on and get back to you in a minute

i had this a long time ago turns out me mate wired the + and - wrong way round try that! failing that, do what every1 else said-amped front comps!

when you say + and - wrong way round, do you mean to the speakers? or somewhere else?

To the speakers....if they are the wrong way round, the magnet is working in reverse, hence the really bassey
sound

sounds like what was happening with me few years back like ant said, it dont matter where you swap the wires. on the speakers is easiest TBH

Either the speaker wires are wrong way round or the gain on the amp could be set too high, try both.

when i had 6x9's i put HPF through them and LPF through the sub, sounds good then! 
if not amp the comps
