I forget how many posts/threads/comments i've read on other forums about problems with these...
dead pixels
cracked cases
dodgy UMD readers
crashing/locking up during playing...

yep. looksd fucking amazingly good
Like you said it's a ps2 in ur hands, it take UMD discs, which are a new sony thing (i think) 1.8gb discs.
Does take memory stick so that you can shove whatever you want on there.
Pre-order on amazon is £179 tho But i've read somewhere it'll probably retail at less than that.
But yes, as with anything new there's always gonna be probelsm on some of them, i've read that the dead pixels is pretty common. And the battery life is shockingly bad, like 2.5 hours or something. Bit pointless with it being a portable device, but it looks an amazing bit of kit

I reckon people will go with Sony over Nintendo, regardless.

I think the psp is end of may, that's the pre-order date on amazon anyway from what i remember ?
The DS looks crap, i gotta admit that, but nintendo know what their doing with portables so i reckon they'll be more popular tbh. (and they're at least £50 cheaper) The second screen isn't TOO much use as of yet, in a few years when the game makers get to know the ins and outs properly they'll be a lot more useful.
I'd rather the PSP tho

They're also gunna release stuff to make the DS behave like less of a games console and more like a PDA-like device. GBA2 is coming 2006ish apparently.
