I live on a farm with Richies family, which his dad owns.

Twice now people have been walking along the canal (not through our land, just runs alongside one of our fields) with their dogs (not on leads) and their dogs have come onto our land and attack some of our livestock (well ... ducks) the last time the duck had to be put down, this time Richies mum has just taken it to the vets.

Am i right in thinking ... i could shoot the dog if its attacking our animals, as we live on private land, and the dog would be trespassing?

Id shoot the dog yeh because they keep killing our animals.

And before anyone says anything to that, we have 3 dogs, but i keep my dogs on their leashes when i walk them if i see ducks etc.

just steal their dogs, then torment them with pictures of giant ducks til they cant stand them any more, then they will be safe to walk along there again

Im fucked off because the guys whos dog attacked our animals today, just took his dog and walked off, without disciplining (sp) the dog.

The last time it happened (christmas eve) the guy gave his dog a good kicking.

We've put signs up, and the next time it happens i will have no problem in shooting the dog.

Maybe you should have the ducks penned in so dogs cant get to them

Do you even know how to use a shot gun You'll probably end up taking out the duck...or the dog owner

We dont have a shot gun, just air guns and a rifel, and yes i can use them, and have used them in the past.

I used the L98A1 rifel which is similar to the ones used out in Iraq -

But minus the sight
