Right am I missing something here?

People told me I was stupid to buy my g/f an expensive ipod mini when iRiver's are so much better value for money...

So, I know the iriver is colour/1gb bigger, but I really fail to see how that matters when it's in your pocket and it's approx. the same size storage.

I'm looking for a mini player myself now, and the ipod mini is £130 and the iriver H10 is £190... explain how the ipod is such a rip-off??

That's exactly why I bought it for the g/f as I figured it was more a fashion accessory

No, it was about the mini iPod which is 4gb and the iRiver H-10 which is 5Gb. The iRiver costs £190 but for an extra tenner you could get the iPod 20Gb.

no i was arguing about the 40Gb Iriver .Vs 40gb Ipod

as the Iriver has so many more features, and you dont need to use Itunes and all that other stuff, and all the other formats you can have etc...

i know knothing about the others

if you can get an Ipod mini for £130 i say get it.

Can get them from John Lewis for £125 or PC World and Dixons for £125 + £5 delivery but they're all out of stock at them moment.

The Apple Store has them in stock for £139 plus free delivery and the new 6Gb for £170.
