How can they be more reliable if its the same engine . Never heared any specific problems with the 1.8, on the usuall corsa C Gear selectors and steering rack niggles.

I never said the engines were unreliable... it depends where they are built.. they will have different electric componets, steering rack etc.. Again just what i heard... nobody replied to the lads post anyway.. personally i have heard good things about the Astra and bad things about the corsa... you make your own mind up i have

not heard of any reliablility problems with them and would have bought one if mine wasnt an insurance replacement after my original 1.4 was written off, would be nice to have a bit of power but its good for town anyway. with the mpg i wouldnt think it would be much worse than the 1.4

My mates girlfriends Corsa SRi 1.4 16v has had loads of little niggles, the only one I can remember at the moment is that the pedal covers on the newer SRi's keep falling off.

Sure there were loads of other things.

Another thing, why do Corsa C's have an awfull grey plastic crappy dash?

Would'nt black look better? Looks tacky IMO

mines fine, had a 1.0l corsa c life last time (biggest mistake iv ever made) not only was it slow as fcuk but it went into the garage for warranty work 12 times in 18 months, but the 1.8 is mint, no regrets so far (touch wood)
