Definatley pug, 106 1.6 xsi would be more on par with the vtr.

Thinks he means VTS.

If you mean VTR then of course the pug is quicker.

Mind you i had a cracking race with a VTR one day! Same speed as me low down but after about 45-50 i just made him eat dust

Either way 106 Gti and Saxo VTS (NOT VTR) are pretty much level as they're the same chassis, same engine... Some people say gearbox differs but it won't make much difference.

both 0-60 in about 7.5 secs.

i drove 1 earlier on today thought it was pretty quick, it's my uncles car (vtr) and had disc's all round. thought the brake were pretty shit tho

105 bhp from the 1.6 xsi, wish i'd have been able to insure my brothers old one, looked spot on with standard alloys etc.
