Went Well,  ...
I thought the whole idea of the Service Pack was to push their Windows Security crap.. Yet as soon as I started up It asked me if i would like to disable the Security Center as I have Norton Running. OK, Cool!
Ah Well, At least that's over with and installed, and my PC won't be locked on April 12th or whenever.

its doesnt get locked  they just try and force a download of SP2 on your - but simple answer, dont update 
And tbh, i cant update as some of my stuff drivers are wank and tbh id rather keep all my studio gear than for MS to force an update on me etc etc

Yeh I was worried about installing it. My mate did it and had his USB Drivers uninstalled...

This will lead to you not being able to use Auto or Windows Update.
Leading to patches not being installed to handle things like Blaster and so forth.

yes, but 2k worth of audio gear, hardware, not working vers sp2....hmm let me think about that one? 
as for blaster and shite, i think 2 firewalls (hardware + software) and an up to date AV will keep me safe
