I can't think of a particular problem with the Astra Coupe's, just look out for the usual stuff when looking at any second hand car, tyres/funny noises/smoke/wear and tear etc..

With black you should be able to tell if its been repaired badly. I can't think of any common problems with them, like Patrick said just look out for the normal things.

Make sure the heaters work. My dads heaters have packed up, apparently its quite a common problem.

Listen carefully when going over bumps to see if the suspension creaks. Usually means its on its way out if it does creak.

My dads 1.8 coupe has done 65k and thats what has gone wrong so far.
