mine need replacing, how hard is it to get to, and how hard is it to replace?

On the baby XE's on the Nova its easy.

easy, jack the car up, get under neath, undo the bolts at the tom and the one from underneath, then you should be able twist it etc and come through behind the driveshaft!
Ive had 2 so far so a dab hand at doing it, that way u dont have to take the induction pipe off etc

have you tested the alternator? could be the battery cos of the cold weather
