Hi Dave, Halfords told me mine was fraid on my last service and quoted £103 to replace including fitting (takes a long time they reckon) I took it to a local garage who quoted £40 all in. As for doing yourself like me, if you have to ask the question prob better to let a garage do it.

103 quid  mine was frayed so i got it done just to be safe, cost me about 30 at the local garage halfords are a rip off
