Anyone know how hard it is to get in to this, Does you family record etc have to be completely clean ?

You need to be a beat cop for at least 2 years before you can even think about going into traffic. Plus about a years training prior to that to just be a beat cop!

Then you have to pass their own advanced driving tests if you want to chase people..

all new starts do 2 years probation, this is ure chance to prove you are able enough to be a police officer.

you then have the opportunity to advance onto other duties.

traffic police are a bit different, best way to get in is to know someone who already is, its a very tightknitted community of officers...

this is mainly because the rest of the force regard them as scum.

aside from being cnut giving people speeding tickets though its surely the best because you get to race after people and stuff. unless you join the firearms and then you get to shoot people, bit like SWAT i suppose

I think you're going to struggle with selection if the sole purpose for wanting to join is to "shoot people and drive fast cars"
